During our travels the portable radio in the backpack is often deployed. Find our exact location via http://aprs.fi/pa3efr-9. Also: keep an eye on the BOTA, POTA, SOTA, WWFF and COTA activations via my own website: www.PA3EFR.nl
The radio that I use for portable setup is a FT-857, placed in a copper home-made frame, which is placed in a military type backpack.
The pack also houses a tuner, a power supply (230V AC-12V DC), a 12V LiPO 35 AH battery, and a soundmodem for digital operations. Furthermore, when on the move, the POTA flag, HyEndFed antenna, coax and a coffee cup is stored all within the backpack.
Looking forward to a QSO with you. My history in this field can be viewed on my website: pota-wwff-sota-cota.

The call PA3EFR has been associated with several Special Event stations related to the Jamboree On The Air over the years. The JOTA plans for this year are to be found on my website www.PA3EFR.nl. As usual we plan to operate all bands, voice mainly from the field shack and from home.
Via http://www.PA3EFR.nl there is also information to be found on the person behind the call and the activities he is involved in. Evelyn, PD1EHO, is the XYL next to him. QRP's Thalia and Lianne can also be heard occasionally via PA3EFR(/J) as well in either voice or morse code!
Since 2025 I am also in the Dutch Bunkers On The Air (PA-BOTA) coordination team. Click on the logo on the top of this page to find out more.
Looking forward to working with you next time from a different Special Event Station QTH's or during regular activities.
